Minecraft can be hard if you don't know what to look for or know the basics. These tips will help you with your first day in Minecraft!
When starting a new world the first thing that is recommended is to mine the trees around you. You will need to collect wood in order to make a crafting table and later on you might use it for fuel.
After you have collected enough wood that you will need, you should make a house. Make a house big enough so you can at least store a couple of chests, crafting table, and a furnace. Make a house before night comes so you can avoid the mods that come. You can make a simple house as this, this will be a safe house for the night, or you can make another designs as well.
This is how to make a furnace
Once your done with your house you will need stone, to make a furnace, and food so you can feed yourself in the night.
Food:
From pigs and cows you can gather raw steak when you kill them and when you cook the raw steak it turns into cooked steak, giving you more hunger bars back when eaten. Note: You have a total of 9 hunger bars and if they drop down to zero then you will start losing hearts and eventually die.
When you kill a chicken, a piece of raw chicken is dropped. After you place it in your furnace, however, it turns into a cooked chicken.
Once you have gathered a bit of food you should at least make some tools and with a pickaxe grab some stone. With 9 pieces of stone, cobblestone, you can make a furnace and start cooking your food.
After you have all of the neccassary things the sun should be setting down and the day is over.You should be heading to your home if your not already there. Once night has arrived you should be in your house safe. When your in there you can wait for the sun to rise or make some tools, chests, or doors if you have extra wood. Also you will need to cook your food in a furnace with either coal or wood. Once the sun rises you are ready to start a brand new day in the world of minecraft!
