- I attended Zhejiang University in China for my undergraduate work, and subsequently received a Masters degree in Finance from City University, New York, where I worked in the financial services industry. I am a Beijing native. I founded my school to meet the needs of adopted Chinese children, and now my students come from all kinds of backgrounds and are of all different ages.

- I teach technology in rather progressive school, and have found my teachingniche showing kids the ropes and allowing them to explore the possibilities. I teach 6th through 8th grade students how to code in HTML5, CSS, Java and JavaScript, along with many other topics using high interest applications like Scratch, Pivot, Code Academy, Khan Academy, Code.org and MineCraftEDU. We also encourage students to pursue videography, photography, digital storytelling along with some basics like typing and the use of the Office Suite. Among the trials and successes I have had many rewards, the most notable of which was my Teacher of the Year Award in January of 2016. The award being based largely upon the input of my colleagues and my students, makes it so much more significant.
